Abhijit Pal (*1983, India) currently based in Naarm/Melbourne is an image maker with an interest in visual ethnography. Through documentary and conceptual photography, he is interested in collaborative practices exploring social memories. He has studied Photography at the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Dortmund, Germany. Abhijit has exhibited in numerous exhibitions internationally and has been the recipient of a DAAD sponsorship and various prizes such as the London Creative Competition and Nat Geo Photo Award. He has worked as a photojournalist for the Times of India and a photo editor for Wirtschaftswoche, a business magazine in Düsseldorf, Germany. Abhijit has an illustrious teaching career in various cities in India at institutions such as the National Institute of Fashion Technology, and Amity University.
